Community events

Why Community Events are so important.

At Be Well With Mama, we believe community is a necessity that parents don’t always have built in. Motherhood was never meant to be experienced alone. Yet so many women find themselves isolated during one of the most tender and transformative times of their lives.

When mothers are surrounded by people who understand, encourage, and support them, they are more likely to ask for help, care for themselves, build meaningful friendships, and feel confident in their journey. Community creates a safe place where struggles can be shared without judgment, victories can be celebrated together, and no mother has to wonder if she's the only one feeling the way she does.

At Be Well With Mama, we strive to ensure that every event you walk into is met with love, compassion, and genuine support, free from judgment. Whether you're pregnant, newly postpartum, or years into motherhood, we want you to know you have a place here.

***Community Events are free unless otherwise stated.

Mom walk

a group of moms in the summer around 30 are walking away from the camera on a path with their children in strollers

Our Mom Walks may look like a casual stroll through the park, but they're intentionally designed around three of the most powerful, research-backed ways to support a mother's mental and physical well-being: movement, time outdoors, and meaningful connection.

Even gentle movement like walking releases endorphins, reduces stress hormones, improves sleep, and has been shown to decrease symptoms of anxiety and depression. Spending time outside, especially in green spaces, can lower cortisol levels, improve mood, and help regulate the nervous system. And perhaps most importantly, genuine human connection combats the isolation that so many mothers experience during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

We know that many moms won't sign up for "mental health support." But they'll come for a walk with other moms. That's why our walks are about so much more than exercise. They're about creating a space where you can breathe fresh air, move your body without pressure, let your kids play, make meaningful friendships, and remember that you were never meant to do motherhood alone.

***Updates are posted to social media. If you register you will get an email with updates. Registering before walks is not required.

Mama Strong

Mama Strong is a safe, supportive space where mothers can rebuild strength with confidence with their kids in the same room!

Every class is led and thoughtfully designed by Dr. Lisa Piropato, a licensed physical therapist, to ensure each workout is safe and appropriate for pregnancy and postpartum. Unlike traditional fitness classes, Mama Strong focuses on supporting your core, pelvic floor, mobility, and overall recovery while helping you move in ways that benefit your body for years to come. Alongside evidence-based movement, you'll find something every mother needs: community.

Activities & Story Time

Our Story Time & Activities events are designed to encourage early literacy while creating meaningful moments between parents and their children.

Each event includes an engaging story, themed cookie decorating, and a mess-free craft that brings the book to life through creativity and play. We are grateful to have Madison Anderson, a K–12 literacy tutor with specialized training in the Science of Reading, volunteer her time to read each story and help foster a lifelong love of reading.

We're especially excited to now offer this program in both English and Spanish. Each story is read in English by Madison and in Spanish by our Bilingual Programs Director, Emily, giving children and families the opportunity to hear the same story in both languages. By introducing bilingual literacy in a fun, welcoming environment, we hope to encourage language development, cultural appreciation, and a love of learning for every family.

Moms Night Out

Motherhood can often feel isolating, and with that isolation, it is easy to lose sight of who you are. Moms Night Out is dedicated to giving mothers the opportunity to take a breath, reset, connect with others, and rediscover themselves.

When you become a mother, you step into a completely new version of yourself. While that transformation is beautiful, it can be an overwhelming change. Taking time to redefine who you are outside of the daily responsibilities of motherhood is an empowering way to refill your cup, strengthen your mental well being, and embrace this new season with confidence.

Research consistently shows that strong friendships and social support can improve mental well being, reduce feelings of isolation, and help mothers navigate the challenges of motherhood with greater resilience. We believe caring for yourself is one of the greatest gifts you can give your family.

*** Moms nights are held every quarter and are typically $30 or less.
