Meet Our Founder:

Hello!

Hi, I'm Annie Neeley, founder and president of Be Well With Mama.

In 2021, I became a mom to my daughter, Oakleigh. What was supposed to be one of the happiest seasons of my life quickly became one of the hardest. After her birth, I experienced severe, undiagnosed postpartum depression and anxiety that eventually developed into postpartum rage. I felt isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn for help. I didn't know how to advocate for myself, and I often felt like I was navigating motherhood completely alone.

As I began my healing journey, I discovered something powerful: community matters. The conversations with other mothers, the support, the encouragement, and the reminders that I wasn't alone became a huge part of my recovery. Along the way, I learned that healing isn't one-size-fits-all. For me, it looked like a combination of professional support, movement, nourishing my body, chiropractic care, self-care, and meaningful connection with other women who understood what I was going through.

In March 2023, I founded Be Well With Mama because I couldn't stop thinking about one simple truth:

Moms deserve better.

They deserve support before they reach a breaking point. They deserve access to resources, education, community, and care that supports their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. They deserve a village.

What started as a small community for mothers has grown into a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the standard of care for parents by bridging the gap between holistic wellness and modern medicine. Through support groups, educational events, movement opportunities, community gatherings, and accessible resources, our mission is to ensure that no parent has to navigate this journey alone.

Because motherhood was never meant to be done in isolation.

And every parent deserves a village.

How Our board is Built:

At Be Well With Mama, our board is intentionally made up of individuals who understand the mission from different perspectives but share the same heart for supporting parents.

Some members have personally benefited from the programs and community Be Well With Mama provides. Others bring professional expertise that helps strengthen and grow our organization. Many actively serve mothers and families through their own careers, ministries, or community involvement. Some have walked journeys similar to our founder's and understand firsthand the challenges that can come with pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood.

Together, our board represents a balance of lived experience, professional knowledge, community leadership, and a deep passion for maternal well-being. Every member brings unique strengths, perspectives, and experiences that help us fulfill our mission of ensuring no parent has to navigate this journey alone.

We believe the strongest organizations are built by people who not only believe in the mission but are committed to advancing it through both their expertise and their personal connection to the families we serve.
